John Lumsden Hardeman was born November 12, 1851. He was a member of the Demosthinian Literary Society at the University of Georgia and graduated in 1871. Hardeman married Fannie E. Ross of Macon, Ga., on April 20, 1875. In his professional life he taught school and was a lawyer.
